At Bedhead Pajamas, we analyze every step of our production process to help minimize our environmental impact.
Sustainable Apparel Coalition Membership
To ensure transparency and accountability, our manufacturing plants undergo annual evaluations on the HIGG Index Platform, a comprehensive set of tools for measuring and improving sustainability performance developed by the Sustainable Apparel Coalition.
This enables us to accurately measure and score our sustainability performance. Our production facilities are also OCS, RCS, WRAP, Sedex, Smeta, SLCP, SCAN, and GSV certified and adhere to CPAT requirements.
Carbon-Neutral Facilities
We have implemented innovative practices to reduce our carbon footprint and help mitigate climate change to ensure all our apparel facilities are certified as carbon neutral.
We plan to further reduce emissions by 35% and improve energy efficiency by 20% by 2027.
Water Protection
Our wastewater is treated and reused for irrigation and cooling, which saves over 9.25 million gallons of water annually. We aim to further improve our water efficiency by 10% and reduce usage by 20% by 2027.
Restoring Biodiversity
We have partnered with local authorities, universities and NGOs in Sri Lanka, where much of our product is produced, to regenerate mangroves across 7.5 acres at Anawilundawa Ramsar wetland, in support of Sri Lanka's blue carbon stock restoration.
LEED Certification
Eight of our facilities are LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Certified and we expect to obtain this prestigious recognition for all our facilities by 2026.
